The Benelux Railways Society was originally formed in 1992 as the Netherlands Railway Society, following the publication of the layout Engelsdrech as Layout of the Month in Continental Modeller magazine.
Later the name was change to Benelux Railways Society to more accurately reflect its members’ interests. It is a non-profit making society, aiming to:
Promote the study of and interest in the railways and tramways of Belgium, The Netherlands and Luxembourg, for past, present and future, including prototypes and models.
We are a small friendly society, with members willing to share their knowledge with others. The society’s magazine NIEUWSBRIEF is published quarterly, contining news and articles (usually including colour photographs) on motive power, rolling stock, infrastructure, development plans, book and video reviews, model news with the latest releases, travel articles, Benelux Models, shops, and photographs of the Benelux railway and tramway systems.
In addition, we participate at many of the Model Railway Exhibitions in the United Kingdom. Details of which can be found on our Society Diary Page.
